Megan King I have attended Northeastern State University for the last 4 years. This will be my last semester of college. My major is in Hospitality and Tourism Management (Business Degree). I love coffee and I was a barista for 3.5 years. I was also a member of the NSU Pom squad for 4 years. I love a good adventure and good friends! I started my ministry my sophomore year after I attended a Christian Conference and suddenly I was seeing things in a new light. I had a paradigm shift in thinking. I was told the truth about God and his Word and how I could have a personal relationship with Jesus. For several years I believed in God, that I was saved, yet realized I did not have a personal relationship with him. I relied on my “good actions” to get me to heaven. I felt like I had to be a good person and God would love me. This left me empty, like a failure, and on an emotional rollercoaster. As I began to see God for who he was and truly read my Bible I began to fall in love. I realized I would never be good enough, smart enough, nice enough. That’s the point though. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, our imperfections. We all fall short of the glory of God. But He loves us so much and just asks that we have a personal relationship with him. What gets better than that?! The creator of the universe wants to spend time with me. As I began to spend time with my Heavenly Father he changed my heart, my actions, and my perspectives completely! I started a small Bible study with my Pom squad and it grew from there. A few years later my fiancé “high school sweetheart” (now amazing Husband) and I started a men’s and women’s group and have hosted a Bible study ever since. We pray, we praise, we prosper. God is so loving and merciful and gracious. Every week we met at our apartment served food, enjoyed fellowship, read straight from the Bible with open discussions about what Gods word is saying, meaning, or revealing. Let me tell you he has answered so many prayers, provided financially, created amazing friendships and taught us that He speaks to each of us uniquely! He has an unconditional love for each of us. I am truly thankful God has let me be a small part of his work.
Zac King I am 22 years old and married to my beautiful Christ loving high school sweetheart Megan King. I attended Northeastern State University for 3 years. I majored in Health and Human Performance and minored in Psychology. I just graduated from there with a Bachelors of Science last spring. While at NSU, I played football all 3 years and was a captain for 2 of those years. I also was the President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) for 2 years. I am now attending the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City and working toward a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I love playing sports and spending quality time with my family and friends. Before I attended NSU, I went to a small NAIA school in Kansas called Ottawa University where I also played football. While at Ottawa I felt that I was at one of my lowest points and the only way to dig out of the hole was to call on Christ. After transferring to NSU I got involved with FCA. FCA was my church, where I could go to grow in my relationship with Christ. Around the winter of my junior year after attending a Christian Conference, I felt called to start a bible study with my wife and some friends. The Bible study has been going strong for 2 years now. God has a purpose for each and every one of our lives, we are not alone, even though we may feel that we are going through the valley alone, always know that GOD is With Us.
